    Al-Sabereen's Dawah Committee strives to:



    • Provide complete and accurate information about Islam and Muslims to the general public.

    • Convey information about Islam through our website and newsletter.

    • Host MAsjid open houses with presentations on Islam to groups and individuals.

    • Provide Islam-101 courses for new Muslims and People of other faiths

    • Assist new converts to Islam by learning the basics of the faith and its practices, as well as assisting them with their social needs.


    To accomplish this task, we have a range of activities including open houses, lectures, seminars, Hadith for Harrisburg program, Ticket to Paradise program, New Muslims Educational Program, Feed the Hungry, and prison outreach program.

    1. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.


    2. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.


    3. Controls traffic by directing drivers.


    4. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls

    - Preparing the masjid's legal paperwork and documents;


    - Handling any changes in tax laws, non-profit organization status and religious organization matters that may affect Islamic Center Masjid Al-Sabereen.


    - Preparing any employees contract. 


    - Revising the Center's constitution and By-Laws as needed.

    Funeral Committee

    Arrangements with the family for the transportation of the deceased to the funeral home.
    -Islamic burial preparation and mortuary facility for performing Ghusl (washing and preparing the body for burial in accordance to Islamic guidelines)
    -Burial plot (grave) in the Islamic Cemetery section at William Howard Day Cemetery or the Islamic Peace Center.
    -Janaza prayer at the Masjid Al-Sabereen

    5. The committees will maintain all notice boards in men’s and women’s prayer areas and where ever they are placed in the facilities.
