Join Islamic Center Masjid Al- Sabereen as we introduce a new Empowerment Through Mentorship Program, which aims to provide a nurturing space for the community to thrive and make positive life choices. We understand much of our community come from low socioeconomic backgrounds which potentially creates challenges when it comes to success. Our program is designed to address the multifaced needs of young individuals, foster personal growth, prevent engagement in violence, and facilitate success in academic and career pursuits. This program would offer a variety of workshops which would include guidance on college applications, resume building, interview skills, career exploration, scholarship applications, financial aid, mental health panels, and access to resources to enable the youth to thrive. Additionally, our holistic approach includes community engagement activities, substance abuse preventing events, and financial literacy education to equip young individuals with the tools they need to navigate life successfully. Together, we can create a positive and violence-free environment where every individual can thrive.

This isn't just another Mentorship think of it as a "hackathon" for social change! We're bringing together our community to: 

● Network with fellow Community leaders dedicated to making a difference -

● Learn through a "Civics 101" course tailored for our needs

● Engage in action-oriented team-building activities and projects

● Hear from inspiring speakers who have been in grassroots initiatives. Our goal is to start a grassroots movement that not only discusses but actively pursues youth advocacy and activism at Islamic Center Masjid Al-Sabereen.
