Al-Ghaib Prayer On Br. Michael (Shareef) Poindexter

It is with deep sadness and acceptance of the will of Allah, we announce that our brother Michael (Shareef) Poindexter, has passed away suddenly last Tuesday, January 25th. Our 30 years old brother reverted to Islam recently, his friends said he was reading the Quran daily and love his religion.

The sad news that we were unable to wash and bury him the way he lived his last day, as a Muslim, because his family chose to cremate him.

As we extend our sincere condolences to his family, Islamic Center Masjid Al-Sabereen is extremely disappointed of this decision which was made after several offers extended to the family, but the family repeatedly refused to communicate with the Masjid.

Islamic Center Masjid Al-Sabereen will fulfill his right and offer Al-Ghaib (Absent) Prayer on him tomorrow, Wednesday 2/2/21 after Duhr Insh'Allah at the Masjid.

Please remember our brother in your Dua'a. May Allah forgive him, grant him Janat Al-Firdus.
